The Daily Telegraph newspaper have written a fantastic report on the Serre Chevalier valley, which we have linked to below.
The specialist ski and snowboard reporters describe Serre Chevalier as one of their favorite places to ski or snowboard! And naturally we agree! They describe the little villages like Briançon and Montgenevre that make up the main part of the valley as being like ‘a Provence in the snow’ due to the villagey ambiance created by all the great little locally run restaurants, bars and hotels in old traditional stone buildings.
Trees cover almost two thirds of the mountains and they are found on much higher slopes than in most valleys, making Serre Chevalier a particularly beautiful part of the French Alps!
The Telegraph go on to describe in fantastic detail all the things that make this region one of the best; the extent of the slopes, over 156km in total! The far reaching and very fast lift system, the terrain parks for jumps and rails. They also write about what every level of skier or snowboarded will find here, both on and off piste.
It’s a great article to read if you are planning a trip here this season. To read the full article, follow this link: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/snowandski/france/serre-chevalier/6768495/Serre-Chevalier-piste-guide.html
