Getting to Montgenèvre by Public Transport

While it is possible to get to Montgenèvre using public transport, the options are quite limited and it is likely that you will have to change several times.  As such we strongly recommend that you use our Montgenèvre transfer service, which provides a far more efficient and affordable service and is able to deliver you directly to your ski accommodation.

Montgenèvre Train Services

The nearest Montgenèvre train stations are located at nearby Briancon (12km) and at Oulx (19km), which is situated just over the French-Italian border.

Trains to Briancon

Briancon is served by trains from Grenoble, Marseille and Paris.  Although train tickets to and from Briancon are relatively affordable, journey times tend to be very long.  Furthermore, as train services run between town centres, you will have to use shuttle services at either end, which not only add time, but also cost to your journey.  Alternatively you may choose to use our ATC Bus Services, which provide regular airport transfers to Montgenèvre

Trains to Oulx

Oulx lies just over the Italian-French border and is served by trains to Turin, Milan and Paris.  If you are flying to either Milan or Turin, you will first have to take a shuttle bus from the airport to the mainline station, which will take just over an hour, then take a train to Oulx and then a bus to Montgenèvre.  Although ATC do provide an Oulx to Montgenèvre transfer service, we recommend that you save both time and money by using either our Turin-Montgenèvre, or our Milan-Montgenèvre transfer service.

Trains between Oulx and Milan take between 2'18" and 4'12" and run 7 times a day, while trains between Oulx and Turin take between 0'48" and 1'30" and run 10 times a day.  The Oulx to Paris service takes just under 5 hours and runs twice a day.  For further details please visit the Trenitalia website.

Oulx to Montgenèvre Bus Service

A bus service between Oulx and Montgenèvre operates throughout the year.  The journey is 19km long and takes approximately 30 minutes.  The bus departs from Oulx TGV station and you are advised to book tickets more than 48 hours in advance.  For further details please click here.
