From the 7th to the 15th of January some of the world's top snowkite riders will be taking to the skies above the Col du Lautaret in between the resorts of Serre Chevalier and Deux Alpes.
The event is set to be a spectacular showcase of snowkiting ability with professional photographers on hand to capture those moments during a collective crowd gasp. Good snowfall over the last few days have meant conditions should be near on perfect for the opening weekend with the promise of sunshine for the beginning of next week.

If you can tear yourself away from the slopes for a moment this is sure to be a great day out for all. Those arriving on a Grenoble airport transfer to Serre Chevalier will pass right through the location the event is being staged and could well see some of the contestants take to the skies.
