The Season Starts with ATC
The Alpine Transfer Company unveils more vehicles, more resorts and more services this 2011/2012 season.
This season holiday makers will have more scheduled transfers to catch and more resorts accessible to them with the Alpine Transfer Company (ATC).
As of December 2011 both scheduled and non-scheduled transfers are available to and from Grenoble and Turin, with scheduled transfers occurring twice daily on a Saturday from Turin and once from Grenoble. These scheduled services will as usual stop at both the resorts of La Grave and Montgenevre if arranged. As usual non-scheduled transfers can be made from anywhere to your resort, including the following airports: Chambery, Marsaille, Lyon, Milan, Geneva and Cuneo.
Further additions have been made to ATC services with the introduction of transfers to the resorts of Les Deux Alpes and Alpe D'Huez.
New Project - Chalet Vauban
ATC presents Chalet Vauban, a beautifully restored 17th century chalet in the fortified valley of Serre Chevalier.
Situated just a short drive from the UNESCO protected town of Briancon and the Prorel Gondola that offers direct access to the Serre Chevalier ski resort, Chalet Vauban is a unique rental property now under the management of the team behind ATC.

Snow Forecast
Although no snow has fallen since last month the conditions up top have been cold enough to keep the peaks nicely snow capped.
The long range forecasts seem to suggest the arrival of snow well in time for the opening of the resorts on the 10th of December. For the 2011/2012 season experts are predicting a cold winter due to unusually high levels of sunspot activity. Whilst this in itself does not make for a good season, combined with a front of low-pressure approaching off the lag effects of the Gulf-Stream shift and the tail end of La Niña, Europe could see some of the conditions the North American resorts have been enjoying in recent years.
The French Alps also look to be benefiting from a better season build up than other European countries too, and with the advanced snowmaking and piste-keeping equipment to hand more reliable snow conditions are sure to be had all season long.
Check out the ATC website for up-to-date snow conditions and resort news.
