Although Turin is slightly closer, Grenoble Airport remains a popular gateway to the ski-resorts of the Haute Alpes region.  Unfortunately there is no direct public transport route between Grenoble Airport and Briancon.  Although it is possible to catch a train from Grenoble to Briançon via Gap, the journey takes several hours.  The coach offers a quicker solution, but still requires you to take a shuttle from the airport to the Gare Routière, which is located in the town centre.  Possible if you are travelling alone, but almost impossible if you are travelling with kids and skis!
