Due to the Tunnel du Chambon closure (on the 1091 between Grenoble and Serre Chevalier), we have been forced to change some of our usual transfer routes.

The affected routes include:

  • Transfers from Grenoble to Serre Chevalier, Briançon and Montgenèvre (detailed below)
  • Transfers from Turin to Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes (detailed here)

Transfers to Serre Chevalier, Briançon, Montgenèvre and La Grave

Our Scheduled and Flexi-Share Transfers from Grenoble are not available this winter, although we can still offer reliable Private Transfers to Serre Chevalier and the surrounding ski resorts via a different route, from Grenoble airport via the Maurienne valley. However, this new transfer route is over 500km for a return trip and passes many popular ski resorts via some difficult mountain roads that are likely to be very busy this winter season, due to the tunnel closure on the 1091.

For a shorter and more convenient journey, we highly recommend flying to Turin airport to reach the ski resorts of La Grave, Serre Chevalier and Briançon. The mountain pass on this route is far shorter and much less likely to be affected by delays in bad weather conditions during the winter, with a transfer time usually under 2 hours from Turin to Serre Chevalier.

At just 48€ per person (Scheduled Transfers), or from less than 40€ per person (Non-Scheduled Transfers for a full vehicle of 8 passengers), getting to Serre Chevalier from Turin with The Alpine Transfer Company offers fantastic value for money (and we do love Italian coffee!).
